Very often because we don’t think in terms of success of the soul we only consider success from the perspective of the ego, we will find ourselves in front of a big frustration. We are frustrated because we are not joyful, we are not having enough fun, enough happiness and a sense of well-being escapes us. That is a sign that we are not fulfilling our dreams. It is a sign we are not on the path that our soul wants us to take. It’s really important that when you feel that frustration, you think of it as an alarm that’s telling you ‘you are not living your life’. You have to wake up! And like an alarm call, it’s really not nice because you are used to your way of life and engaging with your usual activities and suddenly you have to stop living this way.

That’s what happened to me actually when I was 28. I was working in finance and I was struggling hard to be very good and to earn a lot of money for the company. I wanted people to say ‘wow she’s amazing we want her to stay!’ After 8 years I felt really stifled and frustrated. And really I had no idea what was going on in my life, I had no idea that it was not the right way for me. I just understood that I was not happy. That’s a very key moment in your life. You should not ignore that. You have to listen to your heart when it says ‘This is wrong. You have to change your life!’ Never ignore your heart’s messages. So we’re here for that today and I hope I’m going to help you change your life.

When you find this moment of frustration in your life, it’s painful but it’s a key moment where you have the opportunity to see that you are living a life that is not completely yours and it’s now time to really look at it. Write about it, dream about it, meditate about it, really look at your life: “I have this job, I have this relationship, I have this family, I have these friends. I live in this city, and today I am not in a position to know I’m really happy. I feel frustration and that’s because my soul is not fulfilled because I have an ego that’s brought me here.

So what’s the next step and how can I have some light on my path, because at the moment it’s hard to understand what’s going on? I want you to connect again to your deep self. I want you to be able to receive energy from your deep self because this energy is going to revive the memory of who you really are. So when you meditate and you connect with your deep self you’re going to receive your energy and your memory of who you really are. And you’re going to have more and more insight about why you feel frustrated and more insight about your ego and how you’ve constructed this life and how it’s not possible to ignore your truth any more. So really, the best thing is to connect with your deep self: this is the number one solution.

Writing is an excellent way of connecting with what your soul is waiting to say to you. I’m going to explain to you how to write about your soul – which is simply when you take paper and a pen and sit down in a calm space and decide to write for your self. Write knowing that no one’s going to read it. It’s just you journaling about what is going on in your life, so you let yourself write about what is going on in your life today, what is frustrating you. Ask yourself: “Really, what do I feel? What are my feelings about what I’m doing? And what is my heart saying to me? Write everything down. Be truthful with your answers. Ask yourself: what is in my heart? What are my dreams in this life? And you are going to start feeling that writing is opening the box that contains your deep truth. It’s been closed for so long and finally now this is an outlet. Basically frustration has created this box around your own feelings and your tastes, your joy. It shuts your feelings off from you because there has been no space for them, there has only been space for success, for achievement, for pleasing. Now writing is the place for you to really let all your feelings go onto that paper. Writing them out will create a sense of relief in you. It’s such an important exercise, yet it’s such a simple way to release everything that has been stagnating in yourself: - it’s really not good energy to keep festering inside - it needs to come out. Writing out your frustrations and feelings is a first step to discovering who you are.

The other step is meditation. Writing and meditation go hand in hand, it’s not that one way is more important than the other. Writing is key in understanding what belongs to your ego and recognising your soul. Meditation is key to connecting to your inner self and standing back so you can see the personality and the ego that you have created. It’s also a very genuine way to receive energy and information from that being that is in your self that is just waiting to connect with you. So start a meditation where you can tap into who you are and see the difference between your soul and your ego. Being able to see this difference will be a revelation that will enable you to grow, to expand and connect to your soul. It will help you to see what adjustments you need to make in your life. It will help you to say: “this is not mine, let’s forget it: this is mine, I’ll keep it” and then to live the life that springs from the truth of your soul will be an amazing achievement. I mean you will know real joy! Joy and fulfilment. Ok let’s go: let’s do a meditation. Find a quiet place a comfortable place, be cosy and be loving. Click here for the meditation.
